Role Summary/Purpose

The Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (RM&T) Engineer builds a diverse engineering skillset through the practical application of engineering principals to the design and analysis of a diverse set of products. The RM&T Engineer engages in all stages of the product development lifecycle including: requirements development, system design, product implementation, product validation and product verification.

Essential Responsibilities

The RM&T engineer will execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements. Responsibilities also include: - Developing product requirements and design for the built-in test capability - Analyzing the effectiveness of the built-in test capability of the product - Analyzing and predicting the reliability of the product - Planning and executing tests to demonstrate and verify the reliability, maintainability and built-in test capabilities of the product. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Systems, Hardware, Software and Safety. - Documenting technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures. - Providing timely communications on significant issues or developments. - Preparing and presenting technical data to internal and external customers - Participating on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor of Science.- Degree must be in or closely related to one of the following fields of study: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Desired Characteristics

- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.- Experience working with the design and analysis of complex electronic products.- Understanding of circuit design and analysis.- Familiarity with software design and verification.- Familiarity with complex logic design and verification.- Strong technical aptitude, including engineering tools and systems.- Strong oral and written communication skills.- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.- Self-starter, energetic, results oriented, and able to multi-task.- Understanding of the principles of the entire engineering development process, the associated documentation flow and the associated tools.- Understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications.
