Role Summary/Purpose

The Hardware/Test Systems Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

•Leadership of the Hardware and Test Systems Engineering Center of Excellence (PECOE) team •Develop a World Class Hardware and Test Systems Organization within AVIAGE capable of Hardware development from concept through design, build, and test. •Responsible for the full lifecycle of product development for Hardware and Test Systems including concept design, system architecture, requirements definition and management, modeling and simulation, managing suppliers, leading teams, managing cost and schedule, integration, verification, validation and certification •Establish Processes with a charter for Process and Measurement Metrics for continuous improvement. •Establish a Strategic Sourcing roadmap towards lowest lifecycle cost products (make or buy). •Create a process within the Hardware COE that permits rapid, accurate, and cost effective bid and proposal results for either a stand-alone product or as part of a total integrated system. •Establish a means for the Resource Managers to effectively plan, forecast, and supply trained and qualified resources (virtual, partners, and local) to the Integrated Product Teams.

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in engineering or equivalent level of knowledge or experience.•Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experiences in leadership positions•Minimum 10 years of proven experience of Avionics product development experience•Working knowledge of IMA Hardware and/or Test Systems •Experiences with ARP4754, DO-254, DO-178B, DO-160 certification standards
