Senior Mechanical Engineer
Position reports to:Senior Manager (Mechanical/Boiler)

Primary objective
Review and implement appropriate systems and procedures for mechanical and piping systems.
Develop layout and arrangement drawing for general piping, steam and critical piping of utility power plants.
Carry out critical piping stress analysis.
Prepare piping procurement documents.
Prepare piping cost estimates.
Familiar with ASME/ANSI piping design codes and standards.
Specific accountabilities
· Carry out piping engineering design.
· Co-ordinate piping engineering design and interface matters.
· Prepare procurement specification/data, requisitions and technical notes of piping.
· Prepare detailed piping cost estimates.
· Prepare piping plan, elevation and arrangement drawings.
· Prepare piping technical specifications and tender drawings.
· Carry out piping bid evaluation.
· Supervise all aspects of piping works/drawings prepared by draughtspersons.
· Review contractor’s submissions.
· Review piping isometric drawings.

Essential skills/experience
· Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Has responsible for the piping layout and arrangement aspect of at least 2 new utility power plants.
· Able to carry out piping stress analysis of critical piping.
· Ideally with 12 years or more experience in piping aspect of utility power plants.
