China's impressing economic growth has brought China into second place among the
world's biggest oil consumers, behind only the U.S. The result is an increasing demand
on the oil & gas process industry. Existing plants are being expanded while new are
under planning and construction.
Chinese authorities show high commitment to addressing challenges in health, safety
and environmental issues. There is an increasing acceptance of risk-based assessment
methods to avoid or minimize consequences of accidents.
This situation represents a big opportunity for DNV Software's Risk Products and calls for more offensive marketing strategy in the region.
We are looking for a pro-active and customer oriented sales executive to strengthen our local marketing and sales of PHAST, SAFETI and LEAK in China.
DNV Software established regional office in Shanghai March 2005 to serve the fast
growing marine, offshore and process industries in Greater China. Since then we have
experienced a substantial growth in contracts and revenue.
Job Description:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for sales in the Chinese Process Industry with special focus on DNV Software's SafetiTM products for risk. The position includes software promotion, demonstration, sales and marketing.
Your work task will include:
- Responsibility for marketing analysis and potential customer development
- Respond to clients requests for quotation and build SafetiTM sales pipeline
Software presentation, demonstration and promotion
- Build and maintain relationship with customers
- Establish and execute sales plan and ensure to achieve sales target
- Coordinate Training and Marketing activities
- Collect customer's feedback and help Business Development Manager to identify market needs
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote the software
Qualifications:
We are looking for a person with knowledge to risk and hazard analysis in the process industry and with interest in marketing and use of computer software products.
Knowledge to the Chinese Process industry and established business networks are
preferable.
The successful candidate must possess a pro-active and customer oriented attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Other qualifications relevant for the position:
- A Master degree within safety engineering engineering or equivalent
- 1 or 2 years' experience in Process industry field with good understanding of technical and business needs
- The ability to pursue new opportunities
- Good communications in both Chinese and English language
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationship with customers
- Result oriented, self-motivating and commercial mind-set.
- Interests in software application and capacity to self-learning
