Position Description Volvo Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks, buses and construction equipment, drive systems for marine and industrial applications. The Volvo Group is a publicly-held company headquartered in Göteborg, Sweden.

Business Transformation Services (BTS) is the Management Consulting unit within the Volvo Group. Our offices are based in Sweden (Gothenburg), France (Lyon), North America (Greensboro) , China (Shanghai) and Japan (Tokyo). We work with management globally across the different Truck divisions, Volvo Construction Equipment and Business Areas on a range of projects including strategy assignments, large transformation programs with different functions (e.g. market entry, performance optimization), etc.

BTS is seeking an experienced Management Consultant for its APAC operations. This position requires demonstrated business analysis and problem solving capabilities, obtained management consultant role. Many of the projects that BTS undertakes involve interaction with SVP level executives. Successful candidates require the ability to produce tailored deliverables and act as advisors for this level of client.

Functional Role & Responsibilities:

The Candidate will report to Director BTS APEC and will be responsible for:

· Establishment of stakeholder relationships and maintenance of communication channels with stakeholders

· Translation of stated business needs into project objectives and development of the project approach to achieve those objectives

· Definition and development of project deliverables in an agreed time frame and to a consistently high quality, in conjunction with the wider project team

· Development of project methodologies and supporting tools

· Collaboration with other members of the BTS organization to organize and share knowledge

· Providing feedback and mentoring to other members of the BTS organization

Required Background and Experience:

· Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in business or engineering (MBA highly desirable)

· 5 years of consulting with senior management and executives, and/or 3 -5 years working experience in automotive industry either from line management positions or consulting engagements

· Specific business process knowledge (i.e. understanding of sales, marketing, manufacturing, parts purchasing, CRM, etc.)

· Proven ability to analyze processes, structures, markets and technical areas, to solve problems and to identify improvements

· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Clear understanding of project management principles

· Exceptional presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills

· Experience working globally in a multi-cultural environment

· Excellent English and communication skills

· Initial working experience in consulting industry is highly appreciated
