Day to Day Responsibilities:
Actively manage account relationship and execute overall division and commercial strategies
·Develop and maintain multi-level and multi-function customer relations
·Develop/maintain/publish customer profile and analysis
·Organize/manage regional and corporate reviews of accounts
·Clearly and effectively communicate CI strategy and activities to customer
·Develop actionable and measurable satisfaction improvement plans
Develop detailed account/sales plans for each assigned customers
·Develop account sales budget
·Develop expense budget
·Identify opportunities and risks
·Actively manage complexity at assigned accounts
·Align plan specifically to Product Line Strategy
·Develop account plans and strategies
·Develop plans to optimize ongoing sales
·Actively track and report inventory position at customer
·Work jointly with customers to reduce non-value-added activities and costs.
Lead all aspects of sales / order management process at assigned accounts
·Understand customer requirements - Identify, assess and prioritize opportunities
·Execute the account plan in alignment w/product plan
·Ensure satisfactory payment performance
·Collect/synthesize market information. Establish effective internal communication
·Meet sales targets, get the PO
Expand Corning's product offering at account(s)
·Understand customer's current & future products demands and developments.
·Deliver value proposition and provide feedback to PLM
·Coordinate periodic technology exchanges
·Communicate roadmaps and manufacturing capacity plans to the customer
Resolve customer issues and facilitate responsiveness
·Respond to customer requests
·Generate Corning contact profile, communicate Corning structure
·Ensure quality issue resolution
·Maintain customer action list
·Continually increase customer satisfaction.
Reporting Structure:
GC Commercial Team
Education & Experience
- Undergraduate degree or above in Biology or Biotechnology
- With 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Working experience in the Life sciences and Biotech industry
Required Skills
- Knows how to sell. Goes beyond the transaction to actively manage long-term goals
- Strong technical understanding about cell culture and assay detection
- Strong knowledge of commercial transaction processes
- Good English language skills both written and verbal
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package. Including (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database management)
Desired Skills
- Process driven problem solving skills (e.g. KT, project management... etc.)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple contracts
- Demonstrates effective organizational skills
- Results Oriented / Accomplishment Driven
- Superior interpersonal skills (listening, speaking, and gathering information)
- Ability to effectively interact with customers and associates in a team environment
- Strong presentation skills
