职位描述
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- The use of optical, digital electronic and electrical instruments for measurement of the product and process parameters.
- The use of control system fundamental via industrial controllers for achieving the desired target of the product/process parameters/attributes.
- Hardware and software design of the control system for manufacturing process. Develop or modify control systems including data acquisition, data display, control charts and control algorithms.
- Equipment checkout, move-in, Installation, debug, commissioning and integration of control systems into to manufacturing facilities.
- Work with process engineers to conduct process improvement experiments and manufacturing studies. Statistics analysis of manufacturing and experimental data to find process upset root causes and appropriate solution. It involves the application of fundamental knowledge and methods for understanding physical phenomena to achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products and processes.
- Work on teams with production and engineering to improve yield, throughput, and cycle time and process uptime improvements.
- Participate in all stages of manufacturing processes that involve forming (glass and ceramics), ceramics/glass firing/annealing, ware handling and finishing processes that involves-Cutting, grinding, polishing, washing and assembly/packaging of final products.
- Transfer of technology to manufacturing operation with full implementation of training and documentation systems (SOP, SOS and Training). Work with development team for new processes and product introductions.
Project involved with:
- Development & Engineering for capacity expansion, implementation of robust, cost effective automation and process control systems in all Corning’s manufacturing plants in Asia and require collaboration with Equipment, process engineering, manufacturing and other related organizations
- Fundamental understanding and application of classical and advance feedback control algorithms to any process
- Control and measurement Project management
- Control systems architecture (Hardware, Software and Networks) design and implementation and commissioning.
- Control systems programming
Motion Controls: Design and implementation of multi-axis, and synchronized motion controls
Education & Experience
- MS Degree + in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & automation,Electronic Engineering, Industrial Automation, Control Theory & Engineering,Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical & Electricity Engineering, Power system & Automation, Measurement& instrument or Computer Engineering
- 5 + years hands on PLC experience (A-B, Mitsubishi) controllers and Man Machine System interface
Required Skills
- Control Systems Hardware and Software integration system design, familiar with Industrial field Communication protocol
- Programming Skills PLC Experience in manufacturing information Systems with process data collection and controls.
- Fundamental understanding of feedback control, PID, Motion Controls and other advanced control methodologies.
- Understanding of Electrical codes & standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
Desired Skills
- MS Master degree with emphasis on Control system, instrumentation and computer systems
- VB, C++ , SQL database and any other industrial system software package
- SCADA Systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) design and implementation for manufacturing operation and process control (e.g. iFiX, Intouch, WinCC/, LabView etc).
- Project management skills and people supervising skills
- Image Signal Processing and Vision system design experience
- Robot control experience
- Electrical Safety system design and implement
- Measurement or Instrument system design and implement

Travel Requirements: (National/International; 0-100%)
Extensive travel to Corning Incorporated and vendors locations in Asia and USA on project assignments (75+% travels).
