Project Engineer / Project Assistant - Interior Fit-out Project

DIRECT REPORT POSITIONS
Nil
POSITION GOALS
To assist the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to deliver specific project management functions for an interior fit-out project
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
External for Client:
·At project start, to assist the project leader to identify & record the needs requirements and constraints of the Client. To work out effective project plan, to achieve these goals.
·To assist the project leader to create estimated budget & detail schedule as per Client's various requirement.
·To assist the project leader to organize & analyse all tender and procurement of all contractors & suppliers.
·To assist the project leader to manage the pre-design, design, construction and completion stages of the project.
·Track and report on the actual progress & actual spending, compared to programs and budgets, and advice corrective action to Client
·Be able to work on 2~3 projects concurrently or full time committed to one project, as required.
·Be able to be onsite from part-time to full-time basis
Internal for JLL:
·To comply with the internal administration and operational policy.
·To market the company in its pursuit of project opportunities.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Language & Computer Skills:
·Proficient in English, in both oral and writing communications.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office to complete analysis & reports.
·Well practiced in creating detail schedule with MS Project or Excel.
·Well practiced in PowerPoint for presentations.
·Familiar with project related software, such as AutoCAD etc.
Management Skills:
·Organize & chair meetings & produce effective minutes.
·Engage and manage professional consultants necessary for the design and documentation of the project.
·Carry out value engineering, build-ability analysis, and critically review the design and documentation.
·Carry out efficient contract administration.
·Produce effective technical reports and regular program reports.
·Implement and appropriate quality control system.
BUSINESS SKILLS AND COMPETANCIES:
·Be familiar with local contractors & suppliers, deep knowledge in market prices.
·Understand the legal requirement for each project and action parties.
·Assist the Project Teams as appropriate to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, consultants and authorities.
·Contribute to market analysis and the marketing process.

Evidence of ability to further progress to Senior Project Manager within a realistic timeframe.
Evidence of emerging strategic and leadership skills and the ability to focus on profit planning whilst maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
·A degree in a relevant field, and Two (2) years' experience related to all aspects of Design/Construction/Project Management in Interior Fit-out Projects, for multi-national Clients' corporate office projects.
·A strong understanding of all aspects of Interior Fit-out Management including, management on schedule, quality, cost, and risk management, negotiation, etc.
·Retail roll-out / hotel / educational / healthcare / industrial fit-out projects experiences will be beneficial
