POSITION: Accounting Analyst
LOCATION: Shekou office, Shenzhen, China
DEPARTMENT: China Operations - Accounting Department
WORKING SCHDULE: 5days/8hours
DURATION: Long term

SUMMARY:
As a member of the Accounting team within the Accounting Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for Accounting functions including revenue accounting, entitlement calculations, accruals and balance sheet account reconciliations. The individual may also be involved in AFE reporting, cost control initiatives, banking activities, and other ad hoc projects as required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in written and verbal English and effective communication style. Previous experience in the petroleum company would be advantageous. This is a permanent position, requiring a high level of accuracy, a methodical approach and a flexible team oriented attitude.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Responsible for the timely and accurate accounting in company's SAP system inclusive on operated and non-operated joint ventures, as well as other company projects.
? Reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts.
? Ad hoc reporting and analysis as determined necessary by supervision.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
? A bachelor’s degree in accounting
? A professional designation with CPA (China) or locally recognized accounting body
? A minimum 3 years accounting experience, knowledge of general accounting principals
? Knowledge of Petroleum Contracts and the respective accounting provisions
? Previous experience in the petroleum company would be advantageous.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/ABILITIES
? Strong Excel and SAP skills
? Ability to analyze financial information
? Ability to recommend improvement to existing PSC accounting practices and processes
? A willingness to adapt to changes in priorities, work scope and nature, and work overtime if required
? Accuracy and a strong attention to detail
? Ability to work independently and consistent follow through and complete multiple tasks
? Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
? Excellent oral and written English language skills
