Key Objectives
• Selection, testing and verification of mobile phones and consumer electronic (CE) devices for the use with the BMW iDrive system.

• Testing and validation of the software of current BMW bluetooth and CE device in-car solutions (BMW iDrive)

• Performing industry trends and market research of the mobile phone and consumer electronics market in China Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Major Responsibilities
• Regular in-depth research of industry trends and the consumer electronics market in China Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, resulting in a regular report

• Identifying popular mobile phones and CE devices that should be supported by the BMW iDrive system in China

• Establishing and keeping contact to mobile phone and CE device manufacturers as well as network providers and ECU suppliers

• Regular contact to the relevant departments in the German headquarter

• Performing regular tests of the bluetooth and CE device functionality of the iDrive system, resulting in error reports. Confirmation of bugfixes and feature improvements.

• Monitor the project implementation status of the current BMW iDrive bluetooth solution for the Chinese market, creating a regular report based on the testresults

• Updating HW and SW of test setups and ECUs

• Programming and execution of automated test setups in a test automation framework

• Sustaining and updating MyCE, BMW Customer's Handy webpage.

Education / Degree
• Engineering degree (master or bachelor with international studies) in automotive / electrical / computer / communications engineering or similar.

Knowledge / Skills / Competences
• Knowledge of Wireless technologies, esp. Bluetooth and mobile phone standards (GSM, CDMA, GPRS, 3G.. LTE, 4G).

• Very good knowledge of current mobile communication and consumer entertainment standards and trends and strong interest in the electronic entertainment industry (e.g. phones, computers, handhelds, audio etc.).

• Valid driver’s license which is at least 2 years old and very good driving capabilities resulting from regular car usage.

• Basic programming knowledge preferred.

• Excellent language skills in English (written and oral); German language skills are highly appreciated.

• Fluent in Cantonese is also highly appreciated and shall be part of the language skills.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, ever-changing, multi-task environment.

• Microsoft Office skills.
