Key Objectives
Optimising Powertrain systems for requirements of Chinese market. Test powertrain under Chinese environmental circumstances concentrating on Chinese use-cases. Develop optimisation potentials in HW/SW together with CoC. Derive potential for optimisation and summarise requirements for next generation technology.

Major Responsibilities
- Project Management for new powertrain projects regarding implementation of technology for Chinese market . Coordination of all activities, status reports to project teams at central development and escalation if necessary to ensure smooth operation.

- Responsible to achive quality targets in time set in cooperation with AQ-1 and V5-CN-A to increase and sustain customer satisfaction on the market. Responisble for analysing field problems and initiate the solution process within the CoCs in Munich.

- Planning, synchronisation, preparation and performing of all concept- and function tests for powertrain projects in the Chinese market.

- Responsible to find fast cure for customer problems either directly within the team or with help of Cocs. In addition the problem solving process for long term solution within development for current and requirements for future vehicles has to be ensured.

- Analysis of components like engines, gearboxes with BMW specific analysis tools.

- Participation on test events (summer/winter test) and test campaigns. Judging the car from customer and expert´s perspective.

- Create objective technical requirements to ensure suitability of the cars for Chinese customers. Synchronise the requirements within department, marketing and all relevant CoCs.

Education / Degree
Diploma or Master in Engineering.

Knowledge / Skills / Competences
- Fundamental engineering and automotive experience especially in engine related issues. - In depth experience in BMW/automotive realted processes and problem management - Strategic and analytic thinking and acting - Intercultural experience, feeling and competence - Willingness to travel within China and Germany - Capable of working under stress - Good driving skills

Experience
