Primary Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Head of Technical Site Services (TSS), the Manager, HVAC and BAS leads a team of engineering professionals in maintaining and operating the site HVAC and associated BAS/BMS systems. The Manager is accountable to ensure reliable and compliant operations of all GMP and non-GMP HVAC systems. Additionally, as the group leader, the Manager provides leadership, coaching, guidance, and development opportunities for his/her direct reports.

Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities

The Manager, HVAC and BAS is responsible to maintain and operate the site HVAC and associated BAS/BMS systems. Main responsibilities and accountabilities include:
Leadership:
Leadership expectations of this position include coaching and developing direct reports, ensuring adherence to performance management processes, implementing improvement initiatives that impact the business, and collaborating with peers, key stakeholders, and other business units to ensure cohesive and efficient work execution.
HVAC Operations:
The basic function of this position is to provide efficient and cost effective environmental conditioning of the site buildings and facilities. This includes chiller systems, HVAC equipment and distribution, and BAS/BMS control and monitoring systems. As the leader of the group, the Operations Manager is responsible to:
· Ensure that all work within this function is well coordinated with the site manufacturing and operations.
· Comply with cGMP, SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment), and other regulatory requirements in the course of completing work.
· Adopt and follow GEP (Good Engineering Practices).
· Provide subject matter expertise on capital investments.
· Set-up, maintain, and execute proactive maintenance programs designed to ensure system reliability and cost efficiency.
· Review, analyze, and optimize equipment and facility system operations to drive efficiency
· Coordinate annual utility system and site shutdowns.
· Investigate and resolve deviations associated with cGMP operations. Identify root causes and put preventative actions in place to avoid repeat deviations.
Continuous Improvement and Sustainability:
· Lead and/or sponsor continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow efficiency.
· Take ownership of the site energy conservation projects and activities in order to adhere to sustainability commitments.

Qualification and Experience 能力与经验

Education/Qualifications教育程度/所获资格证书
· 10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in Facility Operations.
· Bachelors in Engineering required; MBA preferred
