Our client is a leading distributor of power distribution, industrial control and industrial MRO products to primarily Panel Builder and Original Equipment Manufacturers, Construction and Installation and Hi-tech Sector throughout the East, North and West region of China.
To cope with the fast growing steps, on behalf of our client, Collars Consultants is looking for qualified candidates with high motivation to join the winning team:


Position: Area Sales Manager
Report to: Division Sales Manager
Location: Nanjing



MISSION:

-The primary function of the Area sales Manager is to direct all office activities and to ensure that the business objectives for the office are achieved in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
-The ASM is accountable for office sales, gross profit, AR, PBIT objectives and asset management. Individuals reporting to the ASM are the Field Salespeople and CSR.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Strategy & Planning
-Define clear Area sales strategy including sales /key supplier /SE /customer budget and training plan.
-Implements marketing plans and sales plans to develop and grow office sales as well as develops and recommends specific industry sales and marketing objectives for specific products.
-Develops and implements sales plans as well as analyses, reports and implements improvements with regard to achievement of plans. Regularly analyses and reports on office sales, gross profit, AR status and cost management.
-Sales & Area Management
-Work with sales force (Supervisor and field sales) to help identify high potential prospects, customers & sales opportunities and contact plans.
-Work closely with Area Teams on territory design and account planning.
-Contribute to achieving Area sales target through the co-ordination of the sales effort.
-Provide feedback to Senior Management regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the sales process and other sales management practices to ensure continual process improvement.
-Ensure any changes which affect the sales effort are communicated and implemented smoothly.
-Lead Staff in the development of account plans and meet regularly to review and monitor these for quality and content.
-People Management & Development
-Recruits, hires, coaches and develops employees as well ensures that personnel are delegated adequate authority to carry out their responsibilities and objectives, but that limitations of their authority are defined and clearly communicated.
-Provide advice to Staff as required regarding business development, customer management and internal process issues.
-Complete a formal performance review with each Staff Member.
-Track and monitor individual performance against targets and objectives.
-Develop individual action plans to ensure performance issues are resolved and to assist individuals to achieve optimum performance levels.
-Product & Industry Knowledge
Maintain a thorough awareness of HCN’s products / services including value proposition and competitor offerings.
Maintain a thorough understanding of HCN’s contractual obligations.
Conduct research into competitor product suites and monitor / report on competitor strategies.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of industry and local labor market conditions.
Key supplier co-operation
Ensure the good relationship to ascertain the common objectives with our key supplier.
Operational risk management ;
Get all office people aligned to do the right thing to avoid operational risk/cost for the company;
Monitor closely following items ;
Aging Sales Orders
Customer Stock
Bank Drafts
Stock returns
Price dumping
Commitment to customers off contract
Unauthorized changes/cancellation on SO’s
Administration
Plan and facilitate team meetings and training / briefing sessions as required.
Ensures communication of and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Track and monitor Staff expenditure.
Track and record individual and sales performance in relation to targets.
Formally review / appraise Staff performance quarterly.
Provide weekly / monthly reporting as required.
Act as a contact point for referral for difficult customer complaints and or requests.

- Franchises Product Sales Ratio
- Reporting( weekly/monthly reporting, route planning and data quality in CRM)



REQUIREMENTS:

- Education
- University graduate or above
- Working Experience
- 8+ year working experience, with 5 years management level
- Knowledge & Skills

- Business Acumen
- He/She should have deep understanding of B2B business model within the electronic distribution and wholesale industry. He/She should know the industry trends and new technologies on the road map. He/She can bring sound analytic methods to address the business issue and further provide data-driven solutions to the senior management team decision making

- He/She should be a business driven person with strong leadership presence, and with strong strategy thinking. He/She need to develop a right and good direction or set new strategy of business development in China, which is critical to company. A business oriented person is a must for this position.

- He/She is a results oriented person. He/She should pursue the long-term success with solid and profitable results despite the absence of short-term results. He/She is able to translate the mission of the organization into actionable and quantitative plans. He/She will lead the local teams to execute the global business strategy in China with a sense of.

- He/She should go along with the company culture with an open minded approach. He/She can keep clear communications with all levels and influence the outcomes by engaging with multiple parties and providing sound reasons.
