Responsibility:
- Early involve product design phase to ensure products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and work with engineering to implement DFM recommendations based on DFM checklist
- Provide on-site support for proto builds, including trainings and gathering feedback on DFM, MFG yield issues.
- Lead investigation of DFM problems, including root cause and corrective action.
- To be owner of DFM (PCB assembly and final assembly) tacking report and NPI product MFG plan.
- Coordinate release of NPI BOMs, technical review of product changes through supply chain.
- Support second source and EOL replacement part qualification, and release of ECOs and deviations.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, specifically with DFM.
- 5-10 years’ experience in Mechanical assembly and PCB assembly.
- Experience in plastic injection and sheet metal fabrication environment a plus.
- Can manage changes in a demanding environment with leadership.
- Analytical & problem solving skills - data driven and results orientated.
