职位描述
Job description:
1. Accountable for coordinating all purchasing related activities during new product development projects and attaining project schedule.
2. Provides technical support in assigned commodities.
3. Works with buyer(s), suppliers, engineering, manufacturing and marketing to utilize supplier driven technology for product innovation and cost reduction.
4. Maintain strong cross-functional working relationships with interfacing departments and plants in order to implement design changes, quality improvement initiatives, supplier reduction and cost reduction efforts.
5. Provides value analysis and best value solutions for supplier tooling, including part quality optimization, productivity optimization and overall capacity planning.
6. Works with buyer and engineering (plus marketing, where applicable) on identifying and analyzing new product ideas regarding manufacture.
Qualification:
1. University graduate in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 years in sourcing and purchasing
3. Mechanical engineering background including:
4. Reading & understanding mechanical drawing
5. Good understanding of quality standards and tolerances
6. Experience with communicating and controlling specialize
7. Know the process of machining, die cutting, die mould designing and manufacturing 8. Experience in developing and successfully implementing strategies for new component and annual contract price negotiation
9. Target oriented and be a self-starter
10.Good command of oral/written English
