Position: Market Intelligence Manager -World Famous Chemical Company
Report to: Product line Manager
Subordinate: 0
Industry: Chemical Industry
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
? Analysis of key industry trends (on the verticals and horizontals)
? Analysis and assessment of the competitive landscape with existing and new players: strategy, product, prices, innovation and communication strategy...
? Implementation of a competitive database (technical and commercial)
? Support in the identification and evaluation of new markets
? Market research for new applications
? Monitoring of the market share development and support for the Strategic Management Planning
? Active participation and consulting for strategic and growth projects (M&A, Partnership, Outsourcing...)
? Support the management team of HP Asia for special projects...
? Support in cross-BU and corporate projects such as growth initiatives...
Requirements:
? MBA or comparable degree
? Preferably 5 years business experience in a chemical company or related industry. Preference would be given to profiles with stronger communication background.
Computer skills: MS Office...
? Excellent interpersonal skills required with excellent understanding of customer needs (internal customers are business managers)
? Excellent command of written and verbal English. Both Mandarin and German knowledge would be a plus.
? Ability to understand complex business situations and to put them into simple and effective communication.
? Proven ability to work in project teams and complex business environments including managing German HQ and fast changing industries.
? Entrepreneurial mind set and ability to generate hands-on solutions / ability to think out of the box

? Travel frequency of ~ 30% is required
