ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
1.Ensure the manufacturing readiness of new products; influence strong execution. Own the design of Manufacturability, Quality, and Cost input. Apply initiative, creativity and a results oriented approach.
2.Create Engineering BoMs & drawings for minor design changes (such as size additions) required for customer orders and complete all documentation updates in the ERP system."
3.Coordinate operational improvement initiatives to improve productivity and quality including but not limited to:
4.Assuring proper training of manufacturing personnel on new methods, equipment, and tooling.Providing technical support to resolve manufacturing and quality problems, including driving corrective action and detailed follow up.
5.Facilitating Failure Analysis (internal and Returned Goods).
6.Perform supply chain sourcing and quality management activities such as:
7.Escalate issues that cannot be directly solved to the appropriate contact in a timely manner.
8.Perform transactions needed to update IFS database and/or other reporting tools.
9.Assist other team members in response to customer inquiries or other requests for information.
10.Maintain the database of quality related information, processes and procedures in the Malu factory, including Corrective/Preventative Action Process.
11.Serve as back-up to the Production Lead.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1.Follow all company safety policies and Quality Assurance requirements.
2.Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
3.Work extra hours as required to meet goals and objectives.
4.Travel as required to US for training and to suppliers or customers as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Working knowledge of all phases of electro-mechanical assembly and tooling, including soldering.
2.Ability to effectively communicate with direct reports as well as management staff.
3.Strong knowledge of change control management.
4.Proficient at interpreting and manipulating engineering drawings and CAD files. Knowledge of CoCreate or other 3D Solid modeling CAD tool preferred.
5.Intermediate PC skills including but not limited to database, ERP systems, and MS Office.
6.High mechanical aptitude required.
7.Ability to pass Zetec Eddy Current Level 1 certification within one year of hire. Training will be provided.
8.Ability to effectively interface with engineering staff and operations management.
9.Fluency in written, verbal and interpersonal skills in the English language.
10.Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and able to employ effective time management skills.
11.Emphasizes attention to detail and accuracy.
12.Effective written and verbal communication skills.
13.Good problem solving skills.
