KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Specifies, and designs hardware equipment.
2. Conceptual and detailed designs of equipment or portion of equipment.
3. Ensure safety requirements are met.

4. Supervises design implementation identifying errors and omissions in requirements and ensures that they are resolved.

5. Prepares reports, giving findings on problems.
6. Prepares low level plans, schedules and budgets for hardware projects.
7. Provides assistance in developing hardware capabilities required to support design effort.
8. Provides support to marketing and other departments as required.
9. Analyses of customer requirements using Company standard methodology.
10.Keeps abreast of relevant technology developments.



MAJOR CHALLENGES

1. To ensure the Hardware design meet the safety requirements
2. To maintain high standards of quality and to follow the defined process with particular attention to artefact reviews/testing as necessary for the development of safety related Hardware.
3. To maintain high hardware design quality while meeting assigned deadlines.
4. Sometimes work overtime and Under high pressure for narrow design deadline,
And sometimes need to go to site to support on night.
5. To produce accurate cost estimates.
6. To provide assistance to the Team Leader to ensure customer requirements are met.



SPECIFIC SKILL LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

1. Skilful with the electric components application and matching, such as power supply, breaker, relay, and cable

2. Experienced with the signaling component control circuit such as switch, signal control circuit;

3. Or Experienced with the electronic circuit design;
4. Or experienced with automatic control system integration and application
5. Experienced with the wiring diagram design of the signal system or other control system.
6. Experienced with the installation the signaling system or other control system installation.
7. Experienced with the relay logic circuit design.
8. Familiar with the relay rack design is a plus.
9. Application experience of the digital communication system is plus.
10.Knowledge of the CBTC system, CBTC application experience is a plus.
