Position: Technical Service Manager (Polymer)-Fortune 500 Company
Industry: Chemical Industry
Location: Shanghai
Responsibilities:
1)Coordinate and supervise all technical related activities in the segments of Polymers and Adhesives in China according to I&Ps global strategy.
2)Professional and managerial responsibility for the technical service and development efforts in close cooperation with the global team organization.
3)Offer technical advice and support to customers, with focus on China but also in APAC region.
4)Contribute to gain a better and thorough understanding of the present and future local market as well as customer needs.
5)Monitor competitiors' activities and products.
6)Trend scouting for new technologies and product (customer) needs; definition of product requirements.
7)Positioning of the company's products in the market.
8)Technical training for distributors and customers.
9)Presentation at conferences and conventions.
10)Provide input and lead joint development projects within the business line.
11)Report to the global and AP technical person in charge.
Requirements:
1)Master or PhD degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
2)Experience in silicone polymer development, additives and/or in general technical service function.
3)Basic experience and knowledge of Marketing & Sales.
4)Knowledge about silicone and plastics industry (and surfactant industry).
5)Experience in adhesive industry (binder, particles and additives being used).
6)Fluent in English, both in speaking and in writing.
7)Self-motivated, self-organised, creative and target orientated.
8)Good customer orientation.
9)Team player.
10)Willingness to travel.
