Position: Sourcing Specialist– World Famous Company
Report to: Sourcing Manager
Location: Changning, Shanghai
Job Description
？ Perform activities relating to identification, assessment and qualification of suppliers
？ Conduct pre-qualification research into potential suppliers' capabilities
？ Interact with Supply, Quality and Global Category Management teams to qualify suppliers
？ Organize and undertake factory visits to determine workshop capacity and capabilities
？ Write reports to department Heads for approval and register suppliers in database
？ Identify suppliers who can achieve global and market area objectives for the Company
？ Maintain electronic and hardcopy records on file
？ Read and interpret drawings and understand definition of scope
？ Conduct costing exercises applicable to sourcing activities
？ Create and enforce confidentiality agreements with potential suppliers
？ Prepare enquiry documents and issue to qualified suppliers
？ Perform commercial and technical comparisons and negotiate favorable commercial outcomes for the Company
？ Action sourcing enquiries received from internal affiliate Companies
？ Support internal teams to define the most advantageous purchase package and purchase plan
？ Support internal teams during procurement negotiations
？ Participate in supplier development and relationship management
？ Actively participate and contribute to Category Management Strategy
Requirements
？ Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering, Mechanical or related
？ 5 years working experience in industrial.
？ Minimum 2 years sourcing experience
？ Solid understanding and ability to read technical specifications and drawings
？ Good knowledge and understanding of legal, financial and commercial terms
？ Strong English language skills are highly desirable
？ Be a team player and enjoy being part of a dynamic working environment
