Telematics Insights&Brand Strategy manager


Purpose:

? This position is responsible for defining connected consumer (Infotainment and Telematics) insights, strategy, and market requirements for company. In addition, this position will have responsibility for leading TELEMATICS brand interaction with and market requirements for the local brands. This role requires passion for understanding emerging consumer needs in the auto and consumer electronics industries and the ability to translate those insights into differentiated, actionable ideas. Candidate should have a demonstrated capability of uncovering tacit consumer needs, turning them into global strategy, and leading multi-functional alignment across regions. Key stakeholders include the local brand team, Global Connected Consumer, and Regional leadership. Requires ability to work collaboratively across many functions including: Planning, R&D, Engineering, IT, and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
? Describe the nature of responsibilities and types of decisions made. Clearly define responsibilities in order of importance and desired end results for each. Please indicate if these responsibilities are Local, Regional, or Global using the following definitions:
? Local - within a country or neighbouring countries with similar culture
? Regional – within a continental region (e.g., Europe, Asia, North America, LAAM)
? Global – all regions of the world
? Consumer needs/insight development
? Uncover emerging, global consumer needs and insights; requires ability to work globally while considering regional and local needs
? Global Brand telematics brand equity and strategy development
? Define global telematics strategy for Brand, working closely with brand team and regional leaders
? Brand Infotainment and telematics market requirements
? Provide vision and consumer roadmap for Global Connected Consumer to deliver solutions and technologies that meet the needs of consumers and that realizes brand strategy
? Develop and qualify concepts for infotainment solutions, based upon leading insights
? External focus and experience expert
? Serve as expert on in-vehicle and out-of–vehicle infotainment including the holistic consumer experience (e.g. consumer product, in-car, online, shopping, service, etc.)
? Global strategy alignment
? Drive focus and alignment for telematics strategy among brand team, telematics

Requirement:
Knowledge:
? Global brand strategy and architecture development, Insight discovery and qualification leading to specific market requirements, Idea/concept development demonstrated by successful concept to market launch
Skills:
? Global brand strategy and architecture development
? Insight discovery
? Idea/concept development
? Consumer electronics, hardware/software understanding
? Brand innovation and pipeline creation
? Ability to influence Executive Director level and above
? Global and multi-functional collaboration
? General business acumen
Experience/Education:
? Brand/marketing experience preferred but not required. In absence of brand experience, candidate must demonstrate examples of strategic thinking capability, consumer value creation mindset, and global collaboration ability.
