Product Developer
Be responsible for product development, and plastics engineering projects for complex AEM product lines and application segmentation. This experience will span the entire development process, from concept development to reliable implementation, while working with different functions, marketing, sales, product management and global R&D organizations.This position support business growth by developing solutions to unmet needs in the market and to support penetration of new products into the marketplace.
Identify unmet needs with customers or in the market and develop solutions to address those needs
- Advanced degree in science or engineering. Strong knowledge in plastic and applications, prefer advanced techncial engineering plastics, e.g. POM, LCP, PPS PCT etc.
- Manage technical projects and achieve deliverables
- Initiate projects to establish value propositions for our products or to benchmark the competition
- Coordinate with Regional and Global colleagues to share technical and competitive information on products
- Educate our customers and the industry on the value of our products
Abilities:
Degree in science or engineering with relevant industry experience (Ph.D. with 2 to 5 years experience; M.S. with 3 to 10 years experience)
- Technical competence in the area of thermoplastic polymers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with the plastics value chain,understanding of plastics processing techniques, including extrusion, molding, fiber spinning, and film manufacturing
- Understanding of polymer testing techniques, including mechanical and analytical testing
- Ability work independently with minimal supervisionand be part of team
- Must strive for continuous improvement - a "driver" , always moving the lab forward/better
- Must be energetic, self motivated
