职位描述
Position Title: Supplier Quality and Project Manager-machining and assembly
Organization/Location: APS / Shanghai
Reports To: RCM – Machining and Assembly
Part 1: Describe the Position
A) List the essential functions and major activities in order of their importance.
The Supplier Quality and Project Manager (SQPM) will have project participation and support responsibility for the transition of products, ensure that the transition of production / service will be achieved per the determined schedule and cost estimate. The SQPM shall support the phases of XYLEM’s Sourcing Process and ongoing responsibilities for supplier management for systemic quality performance as it relates to incoming quality.
The SQPM will provide support to ensure that assigned suppliers have internal quality systems that are capable of meeting quality level commitments to XYLEM. The SQPM shall perform the quality system audit and manufacturing process control assessment of requested suppliers utilizing a structured review methodology. And, as required, the SQPM may be required to perform product inspections to ensure conformance prior to shipment.
The SQPM should expect to be travel frequently (up to 50%) within his/her region.
Part 2. Describe the Person
A) Minimum professional and educational background desired (include years of experience).
? Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
? Mechanical technical (machining, fabrication, stamping) knowledge and experience is highly desired. Very hands on and be able to solve onsite technical and quality problem practically.
? At least 5 years of successful project management experience
? At least 5 years of successful quality assurance or quality control experience in a production environment
? At least 5 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, related field.
? Demonstrated knowledge of deploying a standard quality system, perform competent quality system assessment and improvement recommendations, and performing product inspections for conformance to specifications.
? Demonstrated project management and matrix organization collaboration skills are a must. Must be comfortable with and demonstrated success in leading projects in a matrix organization within a decentralized geographic organization.
? A good team contributor, and also be comfortable working independently, self-motivated and personally disciplined to make progress with minimal day-to-day direction.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skill is a requirement. Even facing unfamiliar field, be energetic to analyze and find solution.
? Fluency in English and the native language in the region in which the candidate will work.
