Job title: PCR Technology Manager

Job responsibilities:

Sustainability has become one of the key aspects of corporate strategy across different industries in various countries. Post-consumer recycle (PCR) is recognized as one of the cost-effective solutions to meet customers’ sustainability targets and ambitions. Many of our customers are actively designing their products adopting PCR plastics either to meet various voluntary labels or to satisfy respective corporate green initiatives. In particular, computer & communication industries, business equipment and consumer electronics including TVs are the most active segments driving increasing adoptions of PCR containing plastic into their product design and uses.

The role of PCR Technology Manager will provide global technology leadership with focus on mechanical recycling related technology, processes and know-how to enable high quality PCR feed stocks for PCR containing product portfolios across different BU’s within Innovative Plastics. Given the fact that Pacific is the production hub for business equipment and electronics products, the PCR Technology Manager role is designed to reside in PAC in order to establish the capability and capacity of mechanical recycling to best service customers’ PCR product needs.

Specific deliverables of this role include:

? Establish expertise in mechanical recycling related technology, process, machinery and know-how and become the resource on mechanical recycling for SABIC Innovative Plastics
? Lead the technical aspects of mechanical recycling for closed-loop and open-loop projects to optimize quality and yield
? Lead mechanical recycling process evaluation & work with cross functional teams for the most cost-effective mechanical recycling process & facility either through partnership or from in-house innovation
? Lead process innovation and work closely with SABIC product technology to create best in class PCR portfolios based on the PCR feed stocks generated from mechanical recycling
? Coordinate and align with Sustainability and SABIC T&I teams to optimize mechanical recycling as an enabler for iQ expansion and/or scrap-to-chemical and scrap-to-energy options.

As the technical leader for PCR, the candidates will also work closely with agency team on government regulatory related topics and specifications. She/He will also work with non-governmental organizations and other external institutions such as universities to expand our involvement and knowledge on mechanical recycling technology and know-how.

Qualifications & Requirements:
? Entrepreneurship by nature with strong can-do energy and mentality
? Expertise in engineering plastics from design of products and from formulations to compounding
? Demonstrated track records leading cross-function teams efficiently
? Chemical and/or Mechanical engineering degrees; prior marketing and/or commercial experience a plus
? Resourceful both internally and externally
? Demonstrated communication & presentation skills in formal business setting
