POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Product Marketing Specialist (Manager), BU of the corporation
REPORTS TO: BU GM
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
PEERS: the company’s sales team, Engineering design and production team, global BU marketing and product development team
RELATIONSHIPS: Distributors, customers, external design house and private labeled partner.
LOCATION: Beijing or Tianjin

POSITION SUMMARY:

Our corporation is seeking Product Marketing Specialist (Manager) for BU of the company, reporting to BU GM. This position will be responsible for identifying most potential growth market with proper product at right application, managing current product portfolio and new product development to fill the product gap. Key tasks include segmentation, target market assessment, positioning, competitive evaluation, new business incubation, product requirement specifications, and life cycle management of the product portfolio.

? Target account penetration strategy with channel strategy
? NPI/ Customization process
? Pricing Management
? Competitive analysis , market intelligence , proxy
? Product portfolio management


FIRST SIX MONTHS DELIVERABLES:

? Understand focus market situation, application and product, customer demand and product application and competitive analysis by VOC (Voice of Customer) and segmentation process

? Segmentation at target segment

? Capable to run customization process

TECHNICAL SKILLS / TOOLS:
Qualified candidates should possess the ability to manage and influence a cross function team whose members have additional responsibilities outside of the team, superior project management and organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multi-dimensional strategic projects at one time, ability to travel – approximately 30% on average including international travel, Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment. Other skills sets needed include excellent analytical and organization skills, excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels and from various business groups, ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external business partners and alliances and influence decisions, new product development process knowledge, and strong MS Office, project and General Database skills.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in engineering, sciences required, Masters in Business Administration preferred. Five to seven years experience delivering successful product marketing or product development. Experience managing multi tasks and projects to deliver result at required timing, industrial background at sensing, factory automation and process automation is preferred.
