Job description
- Research and development of powertrain components of electric vehicles, focus: power electronics
- Evaluation of EV powertrain system, topologies and subsystems
- Evaluation and reporting about emerging technologies and technological trends in China
- Collaboration with internal and external partners (Chinese OEMs and universities)
- Planning and administration of work packages
Required knowledge competencies and attributes
- Master degree or PhD (preferred) in electrical / mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
- More than 5 years research/development experience (including the period of PhD education) in power electronics for automotive applications at a university or in the CN automotive industry
- Experience in power electronics design and prototyping
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-motivated team-worker
- Ability to develop new concepts and plans for development work, experience in project work
- Ability to work independently and systematically
- Good communication skills in English (oral and written), good presentation skills, German a plus but not required
