Title: Plasma Application Specialist
Department: Sales – China Sales
Reports To: Sales Director - China
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing automation plasma cutting application development and support.
Qualifications:
？ Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation preferred
？ Experience with CNC controls, automated plasma cutting and robotic preferred
？ Ability to read, interpret and draw mechanical drawings
？ Microsoft Office skills preferred
？ At least 10 years of prior experience with plasma cutting, CNC & Robotic
？ Strong command of English & Chinese
？ Must have the ability to organize and prioritize work activities and meet deadlines while producing consistent results
？ Excellent phone and direct contact with customer skills
Responsibilities:
？ Working with Sales team on customer training and cutting demonstration in application lab.
？ Maintain inventory of gases, cutting samples and consumables in application lab
？ Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the application lab
？ Maintain application lab equipment in working order
？ Provide technical application support to Sales team with regular interface with distributors, OEMs and end users
？ Develop plasma cutting process procedures and parameters
？ Assist in the development and testing of CNC software and hardware
？ Produce custom automated plasma cutting/welding samples
？ Provide telephone and email technical/application support for plasma cutting equipment and CNC
？ Diagnose faults and provide direct resolution within automated CNC, plasma cutting system hardware and applications
？ Project a positive, professional image as a company representative
？ Respond to application and technical inquiries from internal and external company personnel
？ Must be able to meet with customers, in person, and have the ability to interact with them on an expert technical level
？ Provide customer and sales training as required
？ Coordinate lab activities and work assignments for the Application Technician
？ Assist with failure mode analysis of torches and consumables
？ Some travel required
