Background:

LP Amina is now expanding a number of new strategic technology developments in the energy and environmental fields. In particular, experimental and theoretical research is being conducted for characterizing and improving pneumatic conveying systems. These technologies that we are developing have their roots in two-phase turbulent flow, air-particulate systems, and have direct industrial applications in improving energy efficiencies and mechanical integrity of large-scale industrial processes.

This scientific work serves as the bedrock for deploying new technologies that powers our innovation. Research scientists will spend most of their time conducting state-of-the-art experimental work to test the accuracy of corresponding FLUENT? CFD flow simulations. Our research scientists are increasingly expected to take on significant CEO facing responsibilities commensurate with their experience and growth. As we strengthen and grow our coverage of innovation and emerging technology opportunities in China, we require individuals to think, research and invent new technologies that will impact business and society.

Responsibilities:
? Work with a team of other Scientists and associates to develop and test research hypotheses.
? Conduct research on the characterization of two-phase turbulent pneumatic conveying flows in curved channels.
? Draw on diverse sources of prior work including academic publications, patent filings and conference presentations.
? Conduct state-of-the-art experimental characterization with on-line instrumentation and off-line measurement techniques.
? Utilize experimental data to tune and optimize best-in-class FLUENT? CFD mathematical modeling simulations.
? Produce written research reports, including creative visual depictions of data and ideas.
? Manage deliverables and interactions.
? Develop a network of contacts and relationships in China and Asia more broadly among scientific leaders in emerging technologies.

Requirements:
? Minimum three years work or postgraduate experience with a background or experience in one or more of the following: fluid dynamics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, particle science
? Familiarity and experience conducting experimental test work, with off-line and on-line state-of-the-art analytical techniques measuring two-phase flow: velocities, particle loading, particle size distributions (light scattering, laser diffraction techniques, others)
? Familiarity with state-of-the-art CFD mathematical modeling of turbulent two-phase flow. Fluent? preferred.
? Knowledge and understanding of leading global research in two-phase flow.
? Deep intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies.
? Willingness to do whatever it takes to meet internal needs in a fast-moving, rapidly growing, start-up environment.
? Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, collegial, and collaborative approach to work.
? High degree of organization and attention to detail; ability to juggle multiple tasks.
? Ability to write clearly and incisively about technical topics.
? Superior listening and critical thinking skills, and ability to speak articulately and think on their feet; a good sense of humor is a major plus.
? Strong analytical skill, both qualitative and quantitative.
? A strong record of academic achievement. Master's or Ph.D. required.
? Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin and English is required
? Excellent office software skills.
