Job title: CFD Engineer
Job content
The Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer is responsible for modelling single and multi-phase flows, coupled thermal fluids problems, and (if possible) combustion. S/he should be always learning about new methods or tools with CFD and willing to support a variety of projects as needed.
Job tasks & Individual assignments:
1. Develop and own tools to help with design and evaluation of small-scale prototypes used for coal classification, coal-to-chemicals technology, and boiler environmental retrofits.
2. Share results with customers and others in the department in well put-together reports and presentations.
3. Help develop design standards for novel products. Help perform experimental work as needed.
4. Support customer meetings and Sales.
5. Work as a team member on a mechanical & process design team
6. Work on developing further LP Amina's unique coal to chemicals technology
7. Model small-scale prototypes and/or boiler retrofit designs
8. Review testing data from installations and help troubleshoot as necessary
9. Visit field sites to take measurements and help with quality assurance and installation support
Requirements:
1. 6-8 years of CFD design work at increasingly complex levels, experience doing a variety of modeling problems.
2. Bachelor degree in mechanical, chemical, or thermal engineering
3. Strong analytical and thermal engineering background
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Good time management skills
6. Read and write in English of business and technical terminology
