Our client is a European Industrial company with 80 years history, including 20 years in China.
The BU DIRECTOR's primary task will be the further development and operational management, including Sales, Marketing, Operation, IT, Quality and HR.
Reporting lines are to the President of China and to the Global Divisional Director in Europe, and a very close cooperation with all functional managers in HQ in Europe
The BU DIRECTOR will be part of the overall Board of Management for the Group, as well as of the leading Management Team in China. The BU DIRECTOR will be part of the International Management Group for the Division and will hereby be directly involved in defining the overall strategy for this Division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Lead, direct and coordinate all activities within the China Division
? Prioritise and lead the development in cooperation with President, Global Divisional Director and functional managers in HQ.
? Position the company in China through competent and committed organisational development.
? Maintain and develop the successful growth strategy and continued business development for the division.
? Develop an efficient Production Department in close cooperation with the functional manager, Operation, in HQ.
? Develop efficient sales teams, applications centres and competence centres in close cooperation with relevant segment managers in HQ.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
? Strong managerial skills, both strategic and operational.
? Experience in handling a high growth company in a high growth market.
? Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
? Fluent in English (very good Chinese language skills are a big plus!)
? Knowledge of /experience with Chinese business and Management culture.
? Experience in strategic planning and execution.
? Strong interpersonal skills.
? The ability to motivate teams to deliver results of high quality within tight time frames.
? The ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
? The ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings in an efficient and professional manner.
