Our client is a dynamically growing, private-owned European company being an international market leader developing and manufacturing high-quality industrial Sensors, Signal Conditioners and other industrial products for worldwide sales to the factory automation and process industry

Well-known, large international companies are among the customers from various industries such as the chemical industry, oil industry, energy supply and automobile industry.

We are looking for a General Manager to lead the China sales and service team – position is based in Shanghai.

Job Scope
· We are looking for a person having a proven track record of building and managing an organization in China.
· You will have the chance to leave your personal mark on a young organization in a fast growing group having China as a strategic focus.
· Among your objectives is the further developing of a strong organization consisting of administrative persons, technical staff and internal/external sales force.

Responsibilities:
Execute, implement and entrench our corporate strategy through development of a motivated, empowered and confident staff.
For a subsidiary of a western company referring directly to the Global Sales Director in Europe.
Responsible for Profit & Loss (P&L)
Maintaining and further developing of a network of resellers/ distributors
Recruiting and coaching of an organization in China
Running the daily business of the company


Qualifications for the ideal profile
Education: Preferably experienced in factory automation and the process industry supplemented with a business degree, (e.g. MBA)
Strong understanding of Chinese culture and able to communicate fluently in English and preferably you also understand and speak Chinese
Understanding Chinese sales/purchase culture and know how to grow business in different customer segments
Proven management results in a foreign country
Proven results as sales manager
Both local candidates and expatriates are encouraged to apply for this position
