Responsibilities
Develop Fixed Income Global Reporting Repository and Data Aggregation and Reporting applications. These projects are global projects that being used by risk managers, senior management desk heads and support-groups (e.g. Ops, Product Control) on managing firm wide risk for Fixed Income department. The applications use Database (UDB) and Microsoft Analysis Service (OLAP) for data aggregation, Java and Perl/Shell scripting for data loading, C#/.Net and Excel for the UI components
Work with our application users on providing production support, gathering new requirements, and implementing solutions for our projects
Oversee the data quality issues of the daily risk reports, carry the data reconciliation process, explain the differences, and make updates/adjustments to the data as needed
Work with the globally distributed team members, understand the users’ requirements, prioritize development tasks, and implement solutions
Requirements (indicate mandatory or/and preferred)
Mandatory
Strong BI and DB skills, including UDB/DB2, Microsoft Analysis Service, OLAP, SQL Server, etc
Expert on SQL & MDX scripts, DB/Cube tuning
Experience with large scale, distributed global data warehouse development
Able to communicate verbally in English
Experience in coordinating work on global scale
Needs to be comfortable working with senior management
Diligent with unit testing and quality-assurance; guiding and working with QA/Testing team
Able to quickly research and understand new concepts and technologies; and apply to new development
Excellent communication skill to work with application users and team members
Ability to work independently, with limited direction
Preferred
Java/J2EE and C#/.NET development experience
Investment banking background, understanding of financial products, specifically risk associated with fixed income products
Familiar with GUI design, testing and development for web applications
