POSITION: Senior Development Geologist
LOCATION: Shekou, Shenzhen, China
DEPARTMENT: Block 26/26 Subsurface
REPORTS TO: Development Manager, Asia Pacific
WORKING SCHDULE: 5days/8hours
DURATION: 1 year (with extension)

SUMMARY:
? Development geologist position with 5-10 years of work experience with either IOCs of NOCs. Familiar with field development studies, asset evaluation and geological modeling.
? Minimum of B.Sc. in Geology, M.Sc. in geology is preferred
? Offshore experience and deep water experience is a bonus
? Chinese national with proficient English language skills

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Geological evaluation
? Designing and conducting reservoir geological modeling
? Providing technically sound evaluation and proposals for discovered fields and near fields potential
? Assessing, planning, designing and supervising geological data acquisition

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications:
- B.Sc. in geology required
- M.Sc. in geology preferred

Experience:
Role-specific (ie. knowledge & experience gained by working in a specific role. Include years required in the role)
- 5-10 year work experience as development geologist, must be familiar with geological modeling
- 1-2 year work experience in exploration / asset evaluation
- Offshore field development
- Deep water
Industry-specific (ie. knowledge & experience gained by working within a specific industry. Include years required in the industry.)
- 5-7 year work experience in Oil/Gas industry, with IOCs, NOCs, service companies or research consortiums
- Industrial network with NOCs, IOCs, service providers and regulatory bodies in China

Technical Skills/Abilities:
- Must be able to perform basic data QC for geological modeling.
- Must be familiar with geological modeling with Petrel. Geomodeling experience with other softwares is bonus.
