Main responsibilities & duties:
- Follow up supplier quality management procedure and maintain supplier quality management system. Monitor and develop supplier quality with best TQRDC (Technology, Quality, Response, Delivery and Cost) performance. Audit and qualify suppliers; Track and ensure supplier has good Cpk, Gage R&R etc.
- Study and develop the measurement tools for dimension, function etc of part, perform correlation study. Ensure supplier quality can meet or exceed BPI target.
- Lead supplier/part localization to reduce material cost. Source and qualify new suppliers and approve new parts. Drive the across function team to complete the material/supplier qualification on time.
- Support new product development, give inputs to R&D for drawing/design issues, qualify new parts/suppliers for new products. Work as a bridge between suppliers and designers.
- Provide engineering support for incoming inspection to ensure the quality of incoming material. Give instructions to incoming inspection, train inspectors, feedback quality issues to suppliers on time. Issue Nonconformance report and Supplier Corrective Action Report to suppliers, verify the root cause and check the effectiveness of corrective actions. Ensure supplier to make continuous improvement to meet BPI requirement.
- Support production line. Assist production line on new products/problems. Engineering support for smooth transfer from prototype manufacturing to mass production. Feedback design issues found by production to R&D people.
- Dispose MRB(Material Review Board) material detected by incoming inspection and production line.
- Other tasks assigned by superiors.

Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years mechanical sheet metal & plastic injection or stamping process experience and 2 years SQE experience.
- Or 3+ years mechanical SQE experience in battery packer is preferred.
- Or 3+ years high precision stamping component or spot welding experience is preferred and 2 year SQE experience.
- Proficient in ISO 9000, TQM, GD&T, AutoCAD, SPC, FMEA, DOE, etc.
- Hands-on machining shop experience, plastic injection molding and sheet metal experience are preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Fluent English writing and speaking skills.
- Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
