Introduction to the department
Procurement represents more than 60% of the total value in our field development projects and as such has very large impact on the overall project success. The procurement department has three main areas of responsibility, Procurement, Material Control and Logistics. Kværner has in addition to being a market leader in the Norwegian oil and gas market also been awarded significant international projects. Personnel working in the procurement department may achieve international experience by working with international suppliers and international assignments. Procurement is responsible for all major supplies when developing new oil and gas fields. As an employee in Kværner you will have unique opportunity to be part of a procurement team with the opportunity to impact the projects overall cost, execution and risks. You will be challenged to think along new lines, explore new markets and perform negotiations of major contracts. Responsibilities and tasks:
? Promote HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) and ethical behaviour to align with group ‘Values’
? Ensure compliance with group procurement policies and procedures and relevant statutory regulations on project procurement execution
? Manage the quality surveillance function of suppliers’ qualification and quality delivery
? Develop, qualify and coordinate with third party inspection companies, manage qualifications of third party inspectors
? Manage supplier’s prequalification and qualification of quality management systems, fabrication process, products verification and approval
? Ensure that material and equipment are supplied in accordance with the delivery terms and technical requirements as specified in the purchase order, standards, codes and all other documents referred to
? Consider the key events related to inspection as determined by client, project and engineering and laid down in the detailed Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
? Manage and coordinate inspections activities, reviewing inspection reports
? Report and close out the non-conformance items by providing constructive suggestions for remedial actions
? Survey of packing, marking, handling and stowage prior to transportation
? Collect and comments on manufacturing data book before goods delivery
? Issue inspection release note after the final inspection in completed supply scope, all non-conformance items are closed out
? Coordinate inspection visits and delivery in cooperation with Expediting and logistics
? Provide information for Supplier Performance Evaluation
? Evaluate suppliers Quality/Test and Inspection Plans (Q-plan), and Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing Schedule (EPMS)
? With EPMS and Q-plan as basis, develop QS activity plan (PPFP) for each delivery;
? Coordinate / arrange MC Punch out and Preservation inspections
Qualification and competence requirements
? University degree or professional education in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy
? Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience on EPC projects, experiences in working for offshore international companies is an advantage
? High integrity and ethical values
? A team player willing to take challenges on international project
? Familiar with relevant standards such as ISO, EN, API, BS and NORSOK & Chinese GB
? Fluent in written and spoken English
? Ability to work effectively on your own or in a team
? Attention to detail
? No objection to frequent travelling
