Our client is a Global Life Insurer has already established a strong presence across the Asia Pacific region. They forecasted a incessant business growth in APAC and particularly in China local market place. They are currently looking for five experience Insurance Compliance Professionals from Officer to Senior Manager levels to join their newly set up team in Shanghai.

The team will be perform the following duties:

·Assist the Compliance Head on compliance reporting and work closely with business units, trustee, regulators, and all other matters on compliance effectively

·Act as a subject-matter expert in providing guidance and support the local compliance function through site-visit and perform a regular on-site review

·Monitor and reviewing all material compliance and support in an investigation where reputational issues arise within the region

·Develop and maintain the compliance database and documentation for sharing of best practice within the region

·Conduct training on compliance risk assessments to enhance awareness of compliance risks

·Monitor reviews for both insurance and pension business as well as operations

·Identify compliance control deficiencies

·Follow up on implementation status of the migration plan

Requirements:

·Degree holder with related insurance qualification preferred

·Minimum of 5 years experience in audit, legal, and/or life insurance compliance;

·Junior position would consider candidate with no compliance experience but sound knowledge of life insurance operation such as work experience in underwriting/ claims/ agency support role etc.

·Strong knowledge in CIRC regulatory requirements, and ability to overcome insurance businesses challenges

·Sound understanding of regulator requirements and challenges faced by business within region

·Hands on experience of life insurance operation / fraud investigation process/ CIRC/ AML/ handle regulator request in China/ risk assessment etc.

·Excellent problem solving and report writing report skills

·Ability to work both independently, and working as a team

·Proficiency in spoken & written English and Cantonese.

·Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of management and compliance team in other countries
