Tasks Description

Position: Major Tasks

- For cases escalated from SSO, CA-TA senior specialist reviews the issues against local GAAP and IFRS, consults legal department, consults tax department, ICS, and consider the potential compliance implication, etc. All cases will be monitored and tracked by senior specialists.

- Senior specialist will evaluate the escalated cases with an overall picture by performing cost/benefit analysis, risk analysis, and sensitivity analysis, etc.

- The senior specialist will provide the SSO with a formal opinion regarding escalated issues, based on the review and evaluation, and advices from other departments if needed. CA-TA senior specialist will make sure these opinions are properly followed by the SSO.

- Based on the experience of dealing with the escalations, requests from FA organisation, or identification of weakness in FA processes, CA-TA senior specialist has the responsibilities to develop guidelines accordingly to ensure weaknesses are mitigated, similar escalations are resolved consistently, and users’ needs are satisfied. The guideline produced will be implemented in the accounting organisation through the guideline management approach.

- CA-TA senior specialist will also be responsible for trainings regarding the FA guidelines implemented in Bayer China. For certain cases, the training will be delivered to top level management at Bayer China, while in other cases, the training will be targeted to all employees in Bayer China (i.e. T&E guideline).

- CA-TA senior specialist reports to the CA-TA manager, who supervises the overall performance of the department.

Skills and qualification:

- Undergraduate degree. Marjor in accounting, finance, or business management preferred.
- Service attitude, ability to pull together teams of diverse individuals, ability to successfully influence others, strong time management skills, and be a results driven self-starter
- Qualification in accounting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office software.
- Basic knowledge and experience in local tax rules/ local law is required
- Experience in providing large scale trainings is preferred
- Qualification in accounting is preferred
