Description:

This position will be responsible for maintaining project cost and schedule tools used by project managers to measure, forecast and track project related work. The successful candidate will be assigned to multiple projects and may be required to provide work direction and mentoring to other more junior project control specialists. Work is usually office based but depending on individual project requirements the position may require travel to and / or work in client facilities or remote construction locations. Intimate knowledge of project cost control functions (tracking, organization, forecasting, measurement) is needed. Project scheduling using Primavera / Microsoft Project is integral to the position. Works closely with project management, contract management, engineering and manufacturing personnel to define detailed measurement and scheduling criteria. Works with business management (Project Managers, Program Managers & Directors) to report forecasts for multiple projects.


Qualifications:

BS Engineering Management (Economics, Construction) or related Business or Finance or commiserate related experience. A minimum of 5 years experience including hands on experience with Primavera or other scheduling tool of similar complexity involving complex multi-disciplined projects (engineering, software development, manufacturing, procurement). Additional, requirements include hands on experience with enterprise wide cost accounting tools like Oracle PA. The ability to interpret multiple complex relationships between cost, schedule and resource requirements and how they relate to stated business objectives. Experience in presenting project cost and schedule data to both project level teams and upper management. Project Management Certification or other professional certification is desirable. Travel approximately 20%

Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of tools, in particular Excel, Word and Power Point is required.
