Job Objectives

Finance lead to drive key long term strategic initiatives including Productivity/ Cost Savings, Commodities Price Management, Water business, etc.

Key Result Areas

Finance lead for key China Long Term Strategic Initiatives (includes but not limited to the following initiatives):

  • Productivity and Cost Savings Initiatives:
    • Finance lead to work with cross functional teams (SP, Technical, etc.) to drive System productivity initiatives and achieve target savings
    • Evaluate, analyze, track and report initiatives and ensure that initiatives yield target financial returns
    • Model complex productivity saving opportunities, cost benefit analysis and business cases.
    • Ensure target savings achieved are realized in KO P&L to deliver KO profit commitment
    • Provide finance thought leadership on Productivity e.g. benchmarking vs. competitors/ other markets to identify profit/ productivity opportunities
  • Key Commodity Price Management:
    • Analyze, forecast and track P&L impact from key Commodity price movement
    • Proactively initiate management actions in anticipation of movements in Commodity Prices e.g. push for formulation review if price of particular ingredient is expected to change significantly
  • Finance Lead for Water Business:
    • Support Water GM to improve category profitability by driving initiatives to enhance price realization and reduce cost (manufacturing/ distribution models, etc.)
    • Track and analyze Pilot Tests and work with Water GM to develop and roll out profitable and sustainable category strategy
    • Monitor financial performance of existing products by evaluating generic value chain and financial KPIs.
    • Financial support and business partner on new product/ package launch through value chain and ROI analysis.
  • Support other strategic initiatives on a need to basis to help achieve long term target
    • Develop financial analysis (value chain, long term financials/ cashflow, financial returns analysis, etc.)
    • Provide thought leadership and advice to improve system economics
    • Partner business/ project leads and team to influence and enroll key stakeholders to implement strategies

  • Knowledge & Experience:
    • 10-12 years of experience, preferably gained in a FMCG/ Beverage/ Retail / Consulting
    • Experience in finance, strategic planning, consulting and/ or business operations
    • Proven ability to effectively partner/ influence/ lead to achieve business results
  • Education & Professional Qualification:
    • University degree preferably in Finance or Business Administration
    • MBA is an added advantage
  • Language Requirements:
    • Proficient in spoken & written Mandarin and English
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Travel up to 25% of work time under normal conditions
