The WEB China team is looking for senior Test Lead to help deliver the next version of Windows Embedded operating system and Automotive systems and software.
Job responsibilities:
- Coach and lead a team of highly-skilled engineers towards achieving the business goals and individual’s goals, mentoring both junior and senior test staff to grow their careers and competencies in SDET track at Microsoft.
- Effectively work with other disciplines, cross group teams and external partners, managing relationships to build win-win collaboration.
- Being an active member of the test leadership team to help define and drive test engineering excellence and initiatives.
- Developing innovative and customer oriented strategies and tactics for testing software with both hardware and software dependences.
- Tracking feature development and test progress in Agile process, making cost vs. time vs. quality tradeoffs to meet business goals,
- Hand on technical challenges and demonstrate insight views on software design and quality control to create positive influence on product and people.

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in product, or solution development (or Test) with at least one full product cycle as a manager of full-time staff.
- Strong fundamental test skills (or development skills), experienced with C# and/or C++.
- Ability to quickly ramp up and understand complex technical problems
- Solid software engineering skills
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and cross group collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed, and able to recruit, train, mentor, manage and grow a high-performance development engineering (or Test) team
- Strong customer orientation and sense of quality control
- Experience with developing and driving technical testing strategies.
- BA/BS in computer science or equivalent.

Desired:
- Embedded/Real-time OS development/test experience
- BSP/Driver development/test experience
