The WEB China team is looking for experienced Software Development Engineer in Test to help deliver the next version of Windows Embedded operating system and Automotive systems and software.
Job responsibilities:
- Own major functional areas, building subject matter expertise and using it to drive quality. Examples: natural user interfaces, communication, vehicle networking, navigation, entertainment.
- Create well thought through test plans, implementing test automation focused on validating HW/SW interfaces
- Participate in reviews of iterative specs, architecture, designs, and code, bug/issue triage to make a positive impact on the functionality, quality, and testability of key features
- Contribute to the development of the test infrastructure for our products
- Partner with developer and program manager peers to provide test influence on feature and product designs
- Being an active member of the test leadership team to help define and drive test engineering excellence and initiatives.
- Developing innovative and customer oriented strategies and tactics for testing software with both hardware and software dependences.
- Tracking feature development and test progress in Agile process, making cost vs. time vs. quality tradeoffs to meet business goals,

Minimum requirement:
- 5+ years of experience in product, or solution development (or Test).
- Strong fundamental test skills (or development skills), experienced with C# and/or C++.
- Demonstrated experience shipping at least 2 products
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to quickly ramp up and understand complex technical problems
- Solid software design, coding, and testing skills
- Experience in test planning, test design, tools/automation, and quality metrics
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross group collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Strong customer orientation and sense of quality control
- BA/BS in computer science or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded/Real-time OS development/test experience
