POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is a leading brand company offers selected industrial chemicals, agrichemicals, chemicals for food industry, cosmetic industry, mining and leather chemicals to companies in different countries in the world.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Report to: General Manager
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Accountabilities:
- Sourcing Chemicals: Melamine, Polymers (PET, HDPE/LDPE), Petroleum products (CPC, Paraffin Wax, White oil), Food Chemicals (Xanthum gum, Maize, Sorbitol, Glycerine Glucose etc.), Sodium sulfide, Calcium hypochlorite
- Identify reputed manufacturers that export Industrial and Specialty Chemicals from China.
- Audit vendors for quality, process, etc.
- Regular interaction with vendors and develop long term relationship.
- Inspection of consignment for product quality and quantity at the time of shipments.
Job Dimensions
- Sourcing Chemicals from manufacturers from various provinces in China. Needs to travel on regular basis for auditing the manufacturers and for pre-shipment inspections
- Negotiate and close Commercial deals with Manufacturers
- Organize order execution as per agreed schedule and get complete export documentation within 4-5 days of shipment.
- Arrange sample analysis at Manufacturers laboratory, if required get analysis done by independent laboratory in China.
- Make detailed product report and market report on regular /monthly basis.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Chemistry
- 5-10 years in chemical sourcing
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal & relationship building skills.
- Sourcing and vendor development of Chemicals for – Cosmetics, Food and Paints.
- Exposure in trading/exporting chemicals from China.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English language.
