Our Consumer Group has set out to deliver world-class multimedia entertainment experiences to people. We are dedicated to lead the design of entertainment experiences for our customers. The entertainment experiences are created by people for people with emphasis on making the user-friendliest experience and are enjoyed in many contexts – PC, mobile devices on the go and TV in people’s living room.


GENERAL SUMMARY/PURPOSE

We need a creative Market Development Manager to not only help promote our products to masses but also build and foster the community around RealPlayer. Craft blog posts, social media, and reach out to others as the voice of RealPlayer. Organize collaborations around our values and beliefs. Engage incoming support inquiries and ideas. Be analytical, critical, a strong storyteller, a great writer, a believer in people, genuine, curious and just being tenacious in getting our products known in the internet consumer sector.

Education:
1.BA/BS degree in Marketing or Public Communications is desirable but not compulsory.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
1.Avid user of mobile apps.
2.Startup experience is a plus.
3.B2C product background preferred. Have at least 5 years of marketing product, marketing communications experience at a large web business, mobile-app business, FMCG brand or agency.
4.2+ years of online marketing experience. Familiar with social-media marketing (Weibo, Weixin, SNS etc.)
5.Proven track record on successfully promoting web or mobile products to masses, generated the first 5M app download within the first 12 months is a plus.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
1.Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
2.Familiar with Android mobile markets in China (you should be able to name the top 10 Android app markets on top of your head).
3.Lives and breaths the Internet and mobile culture with passion.
4.Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

1.Social-media marketing
2.Generate break-through analytical insights that drive significant conversion, engagement or revenue improvement.
3.Analyze customer behavior and drive decision-making with ad-hoc analysis.
4.Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions to monitor performance and track goals across the marketing targets.
5.Configure and monitor data pipelines necessary to support the team’s decision making.
6.Leverage your insights to improve and execute the targeting and prospect selection for marketing campaigns.
7.Crisis management preparation, planning and execution.
8.Plan, manage and execute public-relations activities online (occasionally on the ground).
9.Work closely with product manager, engineering and management, and influence cross-functional partners to implement recommendations.

Essential Functions:

1. Social-media marketing planning and execution 35%
2. Product promotion through partners’ channels, app stores and/or pre-install 30%
3. Monitoring and reporting of KPI metrics such as product installation, activation, PV, DLP, social-media user feedback analysis 25%
4. Assist in assessment of new RN products prior to release. 10%
