JOB DESCRIPTION-A. Job title / Job code / Reporting to :
IT Analyst Hertz Information Technology
B. Job purpose (mission or "raison d'être")
This position will be part of a team working on key IT Infrastructure projects aligned with International Business strategy, within agreed parameters of time.
Work on day to day operations and key infrastructure projects.
Work with, existing and new IT technologies/ developments which fit and add value to the International Business and Global IT strategy.
Ensure that service levels are maintained and continually approved, and problems with day-to-day delivery of services are minimized.
Key-result areas (Major Accountabilities) (What is done and for what purpose)
1. Working as part of the International IT team to deliver the appropriate system architecture and infrastructure solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
2. Maintain the International IT infrastructure/ applications by monitoring performance and capacity.
3. Maintain a service management attitude, promoting best practice throughout the IT team.
4. Ensure Service Level Commitments are met and improvement opportunities are highlighted.
5. Maintain mission critical systems / IT infrastructure at all times.
6. Managing own competing priorities and dependencies, liaise with International IT Snr Analysts to ensure optimum usage of time.
7. Work within schedules, time estimates, and project plans for all deliverables.
8. Track own involvement project milestones, identify problem areas before they impact the project.
9. Provide regular communication of progress as required.
10. Ensure self development plans are followed and training attended, when scheduled.
11. Coach new members of staff to ensure IT/ business expectations are met on a consistent basis.
12. Ensure compliance with policies and standards.
13. Promote existing and emerging technologies, to provide input on guidelines and roadmaps for future IT infrastructure developments.
14. Contribute to the smooth operation of the IT function in Europe.

E. Knowledge, skills and experience required

Educational Background:
BA Degree Qualified-desirable, but not a necessity.
CCNA, MCSA, SQL, Project Management or equivalent certification preferred.
Professional Experience:
A background in IT with a minimum of 1 years experience, including network/ application or infrastructure development experience.
Minimum 1 years experience with PC operating systems and software applications.
Or
Minimum 1 years experience in Tele communications, which will include networking protocols such as TCP/IP.
Or
Minimum 1 years experience in programming languages, VB.net, ASP.net, .xml with a knowledge of SQL databases and reporting tools
Knowledge:
Experience in working on a diverse portfolio of projects.
Awareness of an ITIL framework.
knowledge / experience of third party supplier / vendor management
Knowledge and experience of quality management principles and processes.
Knowledge of technical terminology in both native and English language.
Skills:
Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions and take actions.
Highly self motivated and directed with an attention to detail and strong customer service focus.
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities to strict deadlines within a highly demanding technical environment.
Flexible approach to travel within the International IT CoE as a member of the IT International virtual team
