Job Description - Accounting Leader
A. Job title / Job code / Reporting to :

Accounting Leader - Hertz RAC China
B. Job purpose (mission or "raison d'être")

Lead accounting team for overall accounting and tax tasks ,build up and develop the accounting process and assist finance Mgr./controller to set up and improve finance policy and procedures

The key responsibilities and accountabilities for the incumbent are to:
§ Assist to set up the company accounting infrastructure; secure the accounting and reporting compliance with group standard.
§ Lead the accounting team (AR, AP, GL) and ensure accounting operation performance to meet Company's accounting objectives: accurate & timely reflect Company's operation activities for management control.
§ Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing (2 working days).
§ Prepare US trial balance, local trial balance and local financial reports.
§ Conduct 100% coverage accounts reconciliation and follow up on actions required after monthly closing.
§ Coordination with other departments or allied companies on any accounting related issue.
§ Report timely and accurately, provide management with sound assurances that financial records are accurate and reliable and assets are safeguarded.
§ Handle all tax tasks, keep it is in accordance with country tax policies and regulations.
§ Communicate with finance team base in UK or US.
§ Hands on develop financial policies and procedures cycles updating and implementation.
§ Prepare management financial statements in Oracle for each prescribed accounting period, including a balance sheet, a profit and loss statement and other statements as required under relevant laws and regulations. Perform Cars+ (ERP system for operation) integration during the initial set up period. Prepare all Balance Sheet item reconciliation monthly, e.g. bank, AR, fleet and fixed asset register, prepaid expense, AP, and accrual.
§ Draft CE (Current Estimate) and BP (Business Planning) in conjunction with the Business Planning COE.

§ Accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including all the reconciliations and management reports as required by the Hertz organization.
§ Accurate and timely preparation of effective business plans and current estimates. Successful running Cars+, and compile the data for management report purpose.

F. Knowledge, skills and experience required

Educational Background:
Bachelor degree or above, with major in Accounting, Finance or business related.
Professional Experience:
§ 5 + years relevant working experience in manufacturing MNC, at least 2+ years GL experiences.
§ Strong ability to convey urgency while maintaining relationship and realizing customer needs
§ Ability to plan and budget available company resources
§ Ability to set up accounting process standard, internal controls, streamline accounting functions.

Knowledge:
§ Good group consolidation accounting and reporting skill preferred.
§ Create finance model with Excel to generate management report.
§ Basic knowledge of China legal, tax and foreign exchange regulations.
§ Pay attention to detail and can handle large -information from various inputs

Skills:
§ ERP and consolidation software experience, Oracle and Hyperion is preferred
§ Excellent Excel skills
§ Good Chinese and English bilingual communication skills
§ China CPA Preferred ;
§ Good organization skills
