GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.Role Summary Purpose: The position will report to the Quality Leader and will be managing the China SQE program for suppliers providing a broad range of items and services for supporting Asia Operations. This role requires a strong interaction with the Manufacturing Technology and Engineering teams.

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities: The role is vital for the supplier approval and global strategy for Operations and Production. The global focal point for supplier activities directed toward process control, quality assurance and quality control of the supply base in the assigned specialty. In this role, you will: • Comply with, all safety, health, environmental and quality management system requirements, policies and procedures relevant to the position. • Work closely with Sourcing Quality Operations and Process team to identify lack in the processes and driving consistency globally. • Manage SQE resources to provide technical guidance to a global supplier base to assure product & process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. • Drive consistent and lean processes that meet business needs across the organization and reduce NCs & increase productivity. • Train and Mentor Asia SQE’s in the GE Supplier Quality Processes. • Be involved in long-term planning. • Be responsible to ensure that the training materials, programs and availability are spread across the commodity footprint. • Provide overall responsibility for defect reduction globally and provides the chief responsibility for large, complex root cause analysis and preventative action definition. • Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma and Lean. • Work closely with the Global Sourcing, Manufacturing Technology and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements. • Special projects or assignments as directed by the Quality Engineering Leader.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualification: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain or an engineering function.Eligibility Requirements:• Fluency in the English & Chinese (Mandarin) language

Desired characteristics:• Experience in supplier development and practical manufacturing (shop floor) exposure• Experience in leading and building teams• Engineering experience is desired and preferred• Demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering functions to establish fundamental standards and requirements for GE Oil & Gas products and assemblies• Strong knowledge of manufacturing process application and development• Demonstrated capability to work successfully within large, complex multi-functional organizations• Work experience in oil & gas equipment, power generation equipment, petrochemical, shipbuilding or large automotive industry is highly valued
