Department: Supply Chain
Based: Zaozhuang, Shandong, China
Immediate Supervisor Title: Supply Chain Director
Subordinate: Purchaser/ Raw Material Specialists
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for all Raw Materials and fuels sourcing for all VCEAA Cement Plants in China;
MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Ensure a reliable and stable RM supply to all VCEAA China factories at a competitive cost.
2. Manage the RM logistics and inventories, aiming to ensure a timely delivery and reduce working capital needs;
3. Assess RM market dynamics periodically and set up the right RM purchasing strategy to VCEAA China
4. Suppliers development, qualification and periodical performance evaluation.
5. Purchasing orders follow up.
6. Develop good relationships with key suppliers, associations and set up strategic allies, Raise VCEAA image and influence in the market.
7. Build an energetic and professional team to realize the department budget regarding purchasing cost and quality. Continuously make the commitment to optimize supplier’s portfolio.
8. Define the procedures to standardize the sourcing and purchasing, identify and manage all the potential risks in the process.
9. Communicate with the heads of relevant departments on quality, shipment, invoice, payment issues, make sure the purchasing is fully accepted and understood by all levels of the company.
10. Keep contact with the key information sources to identify the zinc-related new business opportunity and research the feasibility under leading of supervisors.
11. Report and analyze the RM department performance based on the requirements of the company.
KNOWLEDGE AND KEY REQUIREMENT
1. Bachelor's degree in Science or Business from four-year local or foreign university. 3 to 5 years of procurement management experience (preferably in the commodity industry).
2. Must be willing to travel frequently and proficiency in English.
3. Marketing sense. Overview the market by Analysis of suppliers, competitors and industry trend.
4. Management skills. Set up and lead a team to realize the department target.
5. Senior business experiences. Train staff on business skills and handle the key &big deal directly.
