Based in Shanghai, China (one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities with a population of 22+ million people), the Windows Server Solution Group (WSSG) is developing best of breed solutions for small businesses. We tailor relevant core technologies in Windows Server for small businesses and then build a set of specific solutions directly for small businesses - Windows Server Essentials. This established team has a strong customer connection and a history of very successful and innovative releases.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will own a significant part of our overall product. You will be responsible for the planning, design and execution of at least one of our major pillars: One Infrastructure, Data Protection, Services Integration, or Web and Apps. You will also be responsible for working closely with a wide range of customers, partners (internal and external), hardware OEMs and ISVs to make sure that we are building the right product.

Qualifications/Skills
- Strong customer empathy. This position requires a PM who is capable of understanding our customers and confidently representing them to drive the product in a customer centric way.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. This PM will be a central communication point for customers, the feature team and development partners around the world. This requires a person with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Strong technical skills. This PM must be able to discuss and drive feature designs with this feature team and related feature teams. Deep server skills are not necessary, however fundamental core OS knowledge and design (Ux) is.
- Passion and experience delivering high quality products. This PM will be instrumental in enabling the product to ship, so previous experience in shipping great software is highly regarded.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of product development experience with a strong track record of delivering through multiple product releases.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field required (or equivalent experience).
- Fluency in Mandarin is desired but not required. Strong English written and verbal is a must.
