Group Charter The Systems Oracle Direct team is focused on the development, management and execution of high volume sales for Oracle server and storage products. Likewise, the Systems Oracle Direct teams work closely with the Oracle field sales organization and partner community to programmatically promote and manage interest in Oracle’s hardware solutions.
? We create demand for all Oracle hardware products across the entire market
? We cross-sell and up-sell complementary products into the Installed Base
? We sell mature Oracle Products and Packaged Solutions into the prospect-base
? We build and leverage Customer Intelligence
Job Purpose / Charter The charter of the Oracle Direct Sales Consultant is to play the role of “trusted advisor” to the sales team and to customers and to assist and support the Oracle Direct sales team to map customer business requirements to technical solutions and provide technical leadership in the process of selling and implementing these solutions. This is an individual contributor position responsible for the overall Oracle Direct technical knowledge on servers and storage products and associated solutions.
The Sales Consultant is involved in the design and technical oversight of complex business initiatives in customer engagements. This responsibility typically spans all layers of the business infrastructure and interfaces with the customer technical team and executive management to define requirements and recommend solutions.
The Sales Consultant also works closely with and leverages other Oracle resources such as Technology Sales Reps, Sales Consultants, Demand Generation Reps, and Business Development Managers to achieve the group goals and objectives.
A key requirement of the role is to translate and validate customer requirements into a verifiable solution blueprint that demonstrates that the requirements can be satisfied, assist sales in gathering VOC (Voice of the Customer) data and translating it into well-defined CTQ (Critical to Quality) indicators that represent the desired solution.
