Warehouse & Logistics Manager – Greater China

Job Purpose Statement:
Responsible for all on-site Management of Warehousing and Logistics, to meet all SPX critical performance needs, people Management, EHS and to follow and maintain a high level of ethical standards ( both personally and as responsible for Team ) at all times.

Key Accountabilities:
? Plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse. Directs and controls warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing material goods (raw materials, finished products, tool and packaging materials).
? Plan and schedule the inventory to meet the company needs by overseeing the ordering of products; and assist in coordinating delivery schedules with shippers and customers.
? Ensure that incoming material is inspected for conformity with order specifications and checked for defects.
? Develop and recommend improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
? Prepare budget and operate within approved budget.
? Manage the warehouse staff activities to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Monitor staff to ensure that all machines and equipment are operated in a safe manner.
? Act as a liaison on the operational/ infrastructure/ system requirements before and during the set-up and implementation of the agreed Logistics solution.
? Design and facilitate the implementation of innovative and technology driven logistics solutions.
? Design and monitor the implementation of resources optimization plans. Assist in the analysis and recommendation for continual improvement of existing operations.
? Ensure forecasted projects are on track through regular operations and management review.
? Assist in the securing and phasing-in of new accounts.
? Responsible for ensuring documentation compliance with all related requirements, like customs regulations, delivery details.
? Responsible for administering all facets of inbound and outbound documentation for all services. This may include preparation, processing and distribution of related paperwork in conformity with customs regulations and in conjunction with vessel and operation schedules and deadlines.
? Coordinates the paper flow and release of cargo to the vessel with marine operations, booking, equipment control and terminal operations.
? Governing the movement of cargo. Assisting in meeting customs requirement for import/export related activities.
? Assists to achieve agreed standard of operational quality throughout customs process.
? Works with external authorities to meet regulatory compliance.
